Alcantara is a high-end synthetic material, known as Oudilan in Chinese,
mainly used in the fields of automotive interior, luxury goods, and aviation.

Alcantara material, commonly referred to as suede by many people, is actually a polymer composite material.
The extraction technology of this material was successfully developed by scientists from Japan's Toray Chemical Company in 1970.
It is a fabric formed by complex processing of 68% polyester and 32% polyurethane.

In 1972, Italy's ENI company and Japan's Toray jointly established Alcantara S.p.A company, officially beginning production of Alcantara synthetic materials.

The Alcantara material for car interiors has superior aesthetics and functionality: firstly, it is more lightweight;
Secondly, it is durable, wear-resistant, scratch resistant, and has flame retardant properties;
thirdly, it has a high coefficient of friction;
fourthly, it has strong plasticity.
